About Selah
At Selah Birth Services, we believe in the power of pause, rest, and breath throughout the journey of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. Named after the Hebrew term "Selah," which signifies a musical pause or rest, our mission is to support and guide you through these transformative moments with grace and peace.
We are a dedicated team of doulas—Jaci, Bre, and Cara—committed to coming alongside birthing families, offering comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum support, placenta services, and educational classes on childbirth and infant care. Drawing inspiration from Psalm 32:7, we seek to be your sanctuary and provide a nurturing presence, surrounding you with comfort and guidance.
How can we help you breathe through this sacred journey?

Birth and Postpartum Doula

Certified Birth Doula through International Doula Institute
I received my bachelors degree in healthcare administration back in 2017, although I enjoyed learning about business and healthcare there was still something missing. I started my journey to becoming a doula in 2020 and completed my program that same year. Launching a business after a pandemic was by far the biggest challenge and fear I have ever overcome. I knew supporting families was my calling and worth every minute of hard work!
I have always been passionate about the process of birth, and how it can transform a woman into something unstoppable. The beauty, grace, strength, and courage you see all in one person can be absolutely breathtaking! I am honored to be welcomed into the most intimate time in someone’s life to help encourage them to see their potential.

My background is working as a labor and delivery nurse, which gave me the opportunity to see and assist in many births. I love being able to witness the joy birth brings. During the postpartum period, it is important to bring awareness to and to advocate for the mental health of women.
My passion is for women and their babies to have the best options and support in their stories. God has brought me to this point in my journey to become a doula, and I am so excited to step into this new role.

I have been a birth worker for 7 years and have 15 years of infant care experience as a professional nanny, postpartum doula, and educator. I am a mom of 4 crazy lovable kiddos (2015, 2017, 2021, and 2023) and I have personally experienced hospital birth and out of hospital birth. It was the care of 2 volunteer doulas during my first birth who helped drive my desire to become a birth worker. I am passionate about education as an incredible tool to build confidence and help birth outcomes. I believe everyone should have access to the highest level of education and care during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This is driven by my belief that every person is born with inherent dignity, value, and worth and that women’s bodies are strong and beautifully made to birth their baby. I have a true calling to do this work and it is an incredible honor to be part of each family’s birth journey that I serve!
When I am not teaching childbirth education or processing a placenta, I enjoy servicing at my church and all things musical theatre and fantasy. Two things that will always make me smile are dance parties with my kids and trying new restaurants with my
